Right board for the age group
A board sized for a senior gymnast is unsafe and discouraging for a nine-year-old. Junior and mini-junior boards are shorter, lower and rated to 40 kg body weight, so children get a genuine rebound at their own scale. Adult club boards are rated to 80 kg and covered in hard-wearing needle-felt for daily school use.
