The Aerobic Floor "Baku" is FIG certified for aerobic gymnastics competition and training. Fifty multi-layer glued wooden plates, each 240 x 120 cm, join on a groove-and-slat principle and are secured with a tensioning strap system, giving a homogeneous 12 x 12 m surface 7.5 cm high. The coating is specified for aerobics — an optimum balance of adhesion and glide — and is non-reflecting for television.
Harmonised rebound and damping
Aerobic gymnastics needs a floor that minimises force peaks without deadening the creative dynamic elements the sport is built on. The Baku floor harmonises the two, and its groove-and-slat assembly with strap tensioning makes it quick to lay and consistent across the whole surface. Black competition marking tape is included.
