The Floor range is built around the elastic swing floor — a three-layer competition surface combining a coated plywood deck, a tempered steel spring substructure and a resilient top layer. The result is a floor that returns energy on take-off and absorbs peak forces on landing, protecting ankles, knees and wrists through long training blocks. Freewill supplies FIG-certified 14 x 14 m competition floors, non-standard sizes for space-constrained halls, PVC skirting and all consumable fixing components.
Dynamics and protection in one surface
A competition floor has to do two opposite things at once: give back enough energy for tumbling passes and swallow enough force to keep athletes healthy. The swing floor achieves this with thousands of individually positioned tempered steel springs under a tongue-and-groove plywood deck, locked with tension straps so the surface behaves identically from corner to corner.
